Correct colors from the factory. Sunlit Gold which is only a few years old. And we know the interior is correct because it is the Original in Very nice shape.
The dash and gauges have just been restored. All now work and look like new. Current owner purchased this beauty from Barrett / Jackson last January
for $110,000.00.
Has since spent $10,000.00 making sure all the options work, gauges, lights, horn, shocks, Air conditioning, and having the original shifter sent out to a gentleman that used to work for Carrol Shelby, to have him rebuild the shifter to new. It was sloppy for sure and now it looks great and shifts like butter! Was expensive!

So Why is this beauty so inexpensive for a real 1968 Shelby GT 500.
Number 1, the current owner had a fantasy all of his life to own a Shelby GT 500. He has now been there and done it. His preference is high performance BMW's.
Number 2, the engine is not the original. It is a fresh pro built 428 pumping out more horses than the original 428 ( about 400 hp. ). You can tell by listening in the video under the hood and back by the exhaust, this is a very healthy, happy, Big Block 428! I would love taking this Shelby through the gears myself...
Number 3, the under is nice. Suspension, steering linkage, and rear differential all look new or restored. A painter could sand and respray the floors in Red Oxide Primer and make a big difference. There is no rust reported by the current owner or his mechanic.
Or just love it and enjoy it just the way it is.. Just won a show 2 weeks ago... It is a Show Quality Driver ready to please...
