Pontiac did not make a convertible in 1985, however, there were companies that provided a custom conversion service to make a Trans Am a convertible. To name a few were: Matrix3, Hi-Line Customs and Autoform had made around 2000 Convertibles total. Not many 4-seater convertibles were made thus making this a unique car.
