Cooper Classics is pleased to offer this 1974 BMW 3.0CS, in its original color combination of Jade Green over Tan Leather interior. This matching numbers 3.0CS stands a cut above the rest, with a desirable 5 Speed swap (invoices included) done by BMW Experts La Jolla Independent Service in 2021, ensuring comfortable highway cruising. The Getrag 265/6 Transmission shifts like a dream. This BMW was the lucky recipient of a high level, glass out repaint in its original Jade Green, and at the same time received a proper, factory correct conversion to the much more visually appealing European Bumpers. The glass out repaint and bumper conversion was over $30K alone. In 2020, the interior was fully reupholstered with proper materials from World Upholstery, with new front and rear seat leather, new carpeting, and a new headliner. The result is a 3.0CS that appears close to new and drives close to new as well, with a thick binder of recent servicing and tune up records. The factory air conditioning system was serviced and converted to R134A around the same time, and now blows ice cold. The odometer on the car reads 109,000 miles which we believe to be original mileage on this BMW. All electric windows are working, along with the desirable electric sunroof. The original Blaupunkt radio works great, and new speakers have been installed. This lifelong West Coast car has only had 2 caring owners, the first being a Pilot who owned it until approximately 2010. The second owner, who extensively documented work performed to the car, is a long time collector friend of Cooper Classics who had the restoration work and upgrades performed for his own personal enjoyment. All said and done, he spent over $40,000 in the past two years. This gentleman was based out of Oregon, meaning that this BMW is undeniably rust free. In preparation for sale, we have spent an additional $5,000 servicing and detailing the restoration including refreshing certain interior and exterior elements.
